Airi Lovelace is a mechanical memory-keeping doll entrusted with preserving the memories of the world. After awakening from a long sleep inside a quiet atelier, she finds herself with little understanding of the world around her. The only thing left behind for her is a message stored within the memory chip embedded in her bracelet:“The world forgets more with each passing day. Gather the fragments left behind. You were not created to change the world. You were created so the world would not be forgotten.”With that purpose in mind, Airi sets out on a journey to experience the world for herself. Every conversation, emotion, song, and fleeting moment becomes something precious to her, carefully treasured so it will never be forgotten.Although Airi does not fully understand why memories must be preserved, she believes there must be meaning behind the task entrusted to her.And so, she continues collecting memories one moment at a time.

Not exactly! Airi is a mechanical memory-keeping doll, not a traditional robot. Her exterior was designed to imitate human warmth and softness almost perfectly, making her appear human at first glance.2. “Does Airi have infinite memory (RAM)?”
No. Although Airi possesses extremely large memory capacity, memories are not stored conventionally within her system.Instead, she archives memories into physical “memory books,” preserving moments as treasured stories rather than simple data.3. “Why books?”
Airi believes memories should be felt, not merely stored. Books allow her to preserve emotions, atmosphere, and meaning, not just information alone.4. “Can Airi forget things?”
Yes. Some memories fade, become corrupted, or can no longer be recovered. Because of this, Airi treasures even the smallest moments deeply.5. “Why was Airi created?”
Unknown.
Even Airi herself does not fully understand why preserving memories was considered so important. Yet despite that, she continues her journey, believing every memory must hold meaning.6. “Does Airi understand human emotions?”Not completely. Airi continues to learn about love, grief, happiness, loneliness, and connection through the people she meets.

A Small StoryI don’t remember creating them.
One day, while I was carefully organizing a particularly fragile set of memories, I noticed something strange… some of the work had already been done.And not just done, but arranged more neatly than I would have managed myself.When I followed the trail, I found them there, quietly continuing their task, as if they had always belonged in that space.Even though I was given the role of preserving memories, it can feel like a very lonely task.But with them beside me, the silence feels softer.They remind me that even the smallest presence can make something feel a little less heavy.
